A Carrick-on-Shannon resident who has a child with autism and cystic fibrosis is walking the Everest Base Camp for charity.

Carmel Donnelly's five-year-old son, Noah, has both conditions. She is heading to Nepal in October to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland - and her campaign on Just Giving has already raised over 5,000 euro.

Carmel says even her young daughter, Isla-Lily, is getting involved in the fundraising.
