Inspectors found the atmosphere of the centre to be pleasant and peaceful overall

The HSE run centre located in Longford Town provides 24 hour nursing care for up to 65 residents of all dependency level

The center supports people who have mild to severe disability and mental health issues.

Overall the inspector observed that the centre was very clean and in a good state of repair.

Galro Limited had sought to overturn the refusal of planning from Longford County Council.

The HIQA inspection took place in April of this year.

It follows comments made by Minister Mary Butler that some operators appear to be closing their current businesses in favour of accommodating refugees.
