There are increasing concerns about the spread of the Delta Covid variant in the UK

The government has been asked to consider bringing in mandatory hotel quarantine for people traveling here from the UK.

It comes amid concerns about the Delta variant of COVID - which is more transmissible and has become dominant there.

Ministers will discuss potential further restrictions on mandatory home quarantine for people coming from the United Kingdom.
