Traders in Boyle say they will be willing to work with the County Council on new plans for the Crescent area.
The Public Realm plans for Boyle were approved last week without the section on the Crescent, based on a large number of submissions highlighting concerns over the loss and reallocation of car parking spaces as well other issues.
On the recommendation of the Chief Executive Eugene Cummins, councillors agreed proposals for  Shop Street, Bridge street and the area opposite the Post office, but the Crescent will be omitted from the funding applications until there's further consultation.
Brian Kelly of Better Buys Variety Store on the Crescent says they will be happy to work with everyone on a new proposal.
