A local authority in the UK are hoping to locate the family of a Roscommon native who died late last month.
Birmingham City Council's funeral and protection of property team have issued an appeal seeking the relatives of the late John Joseph Gill.
They believe Mr Gill was born in Roscommon in 1936 with his last known address on Whitehouse Common Road in Birmingham.
He passed away on the 25th of November last and speaking to Shannonside FM Julie Lodge from Birmingham City Council issued this appeal.
''The Birmingham funerals and protection of property team are looking for the relatives of the late John Joseph Gill, his date of birth the 31st of August 1936. John had eight brothers and sisters and had four children of his own. The names unfortunately are unknown, please email [email protected] if you can help''
