Residents in the Ballinasloe area of Galway are being urged to check their Lotto tickets carefully today after one lucky player came within one number of the €4,420,184 jackpot on offer in last night’s draw. The West of Ireland winner matched five numbers and the bonus to win €40,667.
The winning ticket was purchased at Ashtree Stores in Cleaghmore, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway on Monday 26th June. The winning numbers in last night’s draw (Wednesday 30th June) were: 33, 38, 39, 40, 43, 45 and the bonus was 18.
While there was no winner of the €4.4 million jackpot in last night’s draw, over 67,000 players won prizes across the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws. Saturday night’s (3rd July) Lotto jackpot is now set to roll to an estimated €5 million.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “We are encouraging all of our Lotto players in Galway to check their tickets carefully today as one lucky ticket holder has a ticket worth €40,667. The winner in the West matched five numbers and the bonus which meant they were just one number away from scooping the €4,420,184 jackpot in the Wednesday night draw. The winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and to make contact with our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or [email protected]. Arrangements will then be made for the winner to collect their prize.”
