The average annual earnings for people living in the Shannonside region last year was €43,058. New data released by the CSO gives a breakdown of annual earnings for the year 2022. Roscommon had the highest average annual earnings for 2022 in the region at €44,833. Leitrim was close behind with the average annual earnings at €42,924 in the county. Longford had the lowest average annual earnings in the Shannonside region with €41,418.
Nationally, Dublin had the highest average annual earnings for 2022 at €60,804. The national average earnings for 2022 was €52,053 with the 40-49 year old category taking home the highest average earnings at €59,271.
