Speculation is continuing in Athlone this morning after the National Lottery revealed details of where the €6.4 million euro ticket was bought last week

The National lottery has confirmed that the winning Lotto jackpot ticket from the weekend worth €6.4 million euro was sold at the Applegreen service station just off the M6/N6 motorway in the Arcadia Retail Park in Athlone, Co. Westmeath.

The win with the ticket which was bought last Thursday marked the third Lotto jackpot to be won so far this year.

Isaias Garcia site manager at Applegreen service station Athlone said they have no idea who bought the lucky ticket but they've been talking about nothing else since they were told about the win by the National lottery.

It's understood the winner has not made contact with Lotto HQ so far and people who may have bought tickets in Applegreen last Thursday are being urged to check their numbers.
