Longford County Council has signed contracts to appoint architects for a new remote working hub in Abbeyshrule.
It's hoped the 'Yard Hub' will provide an opportunity for local people currently commuting to Dublin and other large urban centres to work remotely and bring activity to the village centre.
Architects de Blacam and Meagher were appointed this week and it's hoped that work will begin on the project later this year.
