Appeal for witnesses after two women hospitalised in N4 traffic collision

Westmeath Gardaí are seeking witnesses to a road traffic incident outside of Rathowen yesterday evening that saw two people hospitalised.

Gardaí attended the scene on the N4 at Rathowen shortly after 4pm yesterday evening following reports of a two car collision.

A woman in her 40s, the driver of one of the vehicles was taken to Tallaght University Hospital for treatment while the driver of the other vehicle, a woman in her 60s was taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore following the incident.
