Gardai in Carrick-on-Shannon are appealing for witnesses in relation to an attempted robbery overnight.
Gardai responded to a call of suspicious activity in the car park of a business premises in Gortletteragh around 1 o' clock this morning.
They discovered a number of items which may have been used in criminal activity, including a power tool.

It's understood up to 2 males were disturbed at the scene, and made their escape in a vehicle which travelled in the Drumlish direction.
Anyone who might have noticed any suspicious activity in the Gortletteragh area last night is being asked to contact Carrick-on-Shannon garda station on 071-96-50510.
