Almost 30 pubs in Shannonside region haven't renewed licences this year

349 pubs across the country have closed since the pandemic according to the VFI and LVA

Almost 30 pubs across the Shannonside region have not renewed their licences for the next year.

The Vintners Federation of Ireland and the Licenced Vintners Association say that a total of 349 pubs nationwide have closed since the beginning of the pandemic.

The county with the biggest drop in licence renewals locally is Roscommon where 16 premises haven't renewed for trading.

There are  7 fewer pub licence renewals in Longford.

Leitrim  is the  county least affected locally with 5 less renewals.
