Funding is still needed to build the school on the new location.

Agreement in principle has finally been reached for a new site for St Teresa's Special School in Ballinasloe.

The saga of a new school for children with special needs has been ongoing now for several years after the project was delayed when a deal on a previous site didn't work.

St Teresa's caters for children with special needs from parts of Galway and Roscommon and it's been granted extra temporary accommodation in recent times.
