Actor and comedian Chris O'Dowd hopes to put his hometown of Boyle back in the spotlight in the near future.
It's understood the Roscommon native is working on a new project which could be filmed in the local town.
O'Dowd previously gave global attention to Boyle when he filmed Moone Boy in various locations around the town.

He addressed rumours about filming his new project in the Boyle at a red carpet event for his new animation Puffin Rock and The New Friends.
According to an interview with Xtra.ie Chris O'Dowd wants to bring more cinema to the northwest this autumn.
