It is the first archaeological based national trial looking at the Rathcroghan medieval complex in Roscommon

People interested in the development of walking trails around the Rathcroghan medieval complex in Roscommon are being encouraged to give their input.

The Rathcroghan Visitor Centre and Farming Rathcroghan - which is an agricultural based project - have commissioned a feasibility study on the value of establishing a waymarked looped walking trail around the archaeological landscape of the area.

It would include more of the archeological sites in the area which is on local farmers private land, which they are making available through the project.
