The death has taken place of former Leitrim county Councillor Pauline McKeon.
She was co-opted onto the local authority following the death of her husband Pascal in 1991. The family was well-known in south Leitrim for running a popular bar in Mohill.
Mrs McKeon, who was in her 80s, left the Council in 1999, with current local representative Enda Stenson replacing her on the local authority.

She passed away at a Portumna nursing home on Wednesday of this week and her private funeral will take place at 1pm on Friday in Mohill.
