There are currently over 900 Gardaí assigned to Garda Divisions covering the Shannonside Region.
New figures released from the Department of Justice show that 908 Gardaí were serving in the two local divisions by the end of last year.
The Roscommon-Leitrim saw an increase in policing levels with the addition of Mayo to the Division with 616 Gardaí posted to the region in 2022.
The Sligo Leitrim Garda Division saw staffing levels originally increase last year before a number of staff were transferred out of the region or left the service, leaving the 2022 staffing level at the same level as 2021 at 292 Gardaí.
Staffing in Leitrim-Sligo include 226 Gardaí, 52 sergeants and 10 inspectors, while the breakdown in Longford/Roscommon and Mayo comprises of 480 Gardaí, 106 sergeants and 21 inspectors.
Nationally, the force currently stands at 14,133 members.
