Over 4,200 people are waiting for a driving test at local test centres. At the moment only essential workers are allowed sit a test.

Over 4,200 people are waiting for a driving test at local test centres.

At the moment only essential workers are allowed sit a test.

As of January 28th, 4245 people are waiting for a driving test at a test centre in either Roscommon, Longford, Cavan, Monaghan or Carrick-on-Shannon.

Roscommon has the longest waiting list at 1,087 people.

786 people are waiting for a test in Longford and 746 at Carrick-on-Shannon.

Monaghan has one of the lowest waiting lists in the country at 581.

The list has grown by 27 per cent nationwide since October, with the RSA saying the wait time is currently at 20 to 30 weeks.
