2,000 jobs taken up by locally based Ukrainian refugees in last three months

3,000 Ukrainian refugees are currently living in the Shannonside region according to figures from the start of the month.

Close to 2,000 jobs have been taken up by Ukrainian Refugees in the last three months in the Shannonside Region.

New Figures from the CSO show the amount of positions filled by those fleeing the Russian Invasion.

1,864 employments were registered between April and Mid June, with the data showing that in some cases, multiple jobs were held by the same individual.

Figures show Roscommon had the most amount of positions filled by Ukrainian Citizens over the last three months at 657.

That's closely followed by Leitrim, where 636 refugees entered into the workforce or changed jobs in the county.

In Longford, 571 Ukrainians were registered as beginning work at a new job.

3,000 Ukrainian refugees are currently living in the Shannonside region according to figures from the start of the month.

While. nationally, there are almost 18,000 refugees from the Russian invasion currently working in Ireland, out of over 80,000 Ukrainians who are mainly women and children.
