14 food producers across the Shannonside region have been shortlisted for this year's Blas na hÉireann, Irish Food Awards.
They recognise and celebrate the very best in Irish food and drink and aim to shine a light on the committed and talented producers across the island.
Two companies from Leitrim have been shortlisted which includes Dromod Boxty and Jinny's Bakery in Drumshanbo. .
The finalists representing Roscommon are Ballaghaderreen Bacon Factory, Do Me A Flavour, Eat Unique, Oliver Carty Family as well as the Waldron Family.
Goodness Grains Gluten Free Bakery and The Farmhouse Bees and Trees are hoping to taste success in Longford.
While producers representing Westmeath include An Olivia Chocolate, Luna Ventures at Killua Castle, Mr Crumb, Praline Chocolatiers and Rogans Smokehouse.
An expert panel will oversee the judging process and the awards will be announced over a three-day event taking place between september 29th and October 1st.
