According to the latest data from the Road Safety Authority, Westmeath is the worst affected county locally, with 6 killed this year.

According to the latest data from the Road Safety Authority, Westmeath is the worst affected county locally, with 6 killed this year.

3 people in Roscommon have died in traffic collisions up to July of this year, followed by 2 in Longford and 2 in Leitrim.

Galway has the highest figure in the country, with 11 people fatally injured in road accidents so far this year.

Nationally, 100 people have been killed on Irish roads in 2023, the highest figure in six years.
