110% increase in Covid clusters linked to schools in last week

There's been a 110 percent increase in the number of Covid-19 clusters linked to schools in the past week.

Figures from the Health Protection Surveillance Centre show in the week up to Saturday there were 62 outbreaks of the virus in the settings with 167 in total linked to private households.

39 new cases were reported within the travelling community with 139 open clusters within the minority group.

There are currently 95 outbreaks of the disease linked to workplaces.
