St. Ronan's hammered by Clifden in Connacht club junior final

Clifden scored a nine-point victory having dominated the contest.

St Ronan’s missed out on a Connacht club junior football title following a 1-16 to 0-10 defeat at the hands of Clifden at Dr. Hyde Park.

Enda Conneely’s goal on 13 minutes saw Clifden lead 1-4 to 0-2 and by half-time the West Galway men were eight points clear, 1-9 to 0-4.

St. Ronan’s rallied briefly after the restart and brought it back to a six-point game. Clifden were still the dominant side however and never looked like falling behind.
