Roscommon LGFA have offered to reinstate Ollie Lennon as senior team manager.
Lennon left the role on September sixth after a recommendation from the Roscommon LGFA development committee.
On Monday night, the Roscommon LGFA executive issued an apology to Lennon and his backroom team. This occurred after a statement from the Roscommon senior players saying they had been misrepresented by the development committee.
In a further twist, a county board meeting of Roscommon LGFA took place last night.
Shannonside Sport understands an overwhelming majority of club representatives backed a motion to reinstate Lennon and his backroom team.
Meanwhile, Shannonside Sport understands Lennon was contacted this morning with the offer. Lennon is understood to be considering the offer.
However, a response to the Roscommon LGFA is expected this week.
