Castlerea Celtic Women’s team and Ballinasloe Town both lands cup over the cup final weekend.
The Castlerea Celtic team faced favourites Dunmore Town in the Roscommon and district league Challenge Cup final and came away with a hard earned 2–1 win.
Dunmore took the lead after 29 minutes through a well struck free-kick. Meara Stephenson volleyed an equaliser just seconds before the half-time break.
Stephenson headed what turned out to be the winner with 61 minutes on the clock. Castlerea Celtic held on to win the game.
Ballinasloe Town and Cloonfad United clashed in the Division 1 Cup final at Lecarrow on Sunday morning.
An early strike by Cameron O’Leary settled the Ballinasloe Town nerves and Anatolii Vovk added their second four minutes later.
Cloonfad looked tired and just could not get back in the game.
Whereas, in the Masters league Ballaghaderreen beat Shiven Rovers 3–2 at Ballaghaderreen.
Roscommon United beat Ballyboro 3-2 at Lanesboro, Boyle Celtic beat Glen Celtic 3–1 at Boyle.
Carrick Town and Castlerea Celtic drew 2–2 at Carrick-on-Shannon and Colemanstown beat St. Josephs Athlone 4–1 at Colemanstown.
