In the Longford GAA club championship, the first of the quarter finals throw in this coming Saturday with a double header in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park. At 4pm Killoe Emmet Og's take on Longford Slashers and that will be followed by St Mary's Granard go up against the defending champions Colmcille. Mick Harkin is manager of the 2022 title holders and he noted that an ethos of working hard is what is asked of his side as they look defend their crown
On Sunday Dromard take on Rathcline again at 4pm with Mullinalaghta taking on Clonguish at 5:45. We will have live coverage of both those double headers on our weekend sports programmes
