Pádraig Pearses kept their Roscommon senior title defence alive after a dramatic comeback win to beat Boyle.
Pearses found themselves seven points down with eight minutes remaining before forcing extra-time inspired by Paul Carey’s two-pointers.
Boyle bossed the opening period and led by three points at half-time. Scores from Cathal Feely 0-2, Daire Cregg and a two-pointer each from Donmie Smith and Niall O’Donnell had Boyle eight points to five ahead at half-time.
Declan Kenny, Paul Carey and two points from Hubert Darcy including a free accounted for Padraig Pearses tally.
However, Boyle, dominated the third quarter. David Flanagan, Cathal Feely, and Oisín Cregg stretching their lead to 0-14 to 0-7.
However, the defending champions weren’t giving it up. Boyle’s veteran corner forward Donie Smith received a black card for a rash tackle, which gave Pearses hope.
Paul Carey sparked the comeback with two magnificent two-pointers, and in the final minute of stoppage time, Jack Tumulty with the last gasp
Boyle opened the scoring in extra-time. However, a Hubert Darcy goal and further two-pointers from Darcy and Carey gave Pearses a seven-point cushion
Despite a late goal from Boyle’s Cian McKeon, Pearses had done enough to seal the victory.
Pearses progressing to setup a semi-final meeting with Micheal Glaveys or St. Faithleachs, 1-18 to 1-13 after extra-time.
