Roscommon were held to a draw by Meath after an incredible game of football in Dr. Hyde Park.
Meath, playing with the wind in the first half, took an early three point lead thanks to a Ruairi Kinsella two-pointer and Eoin Frayne.
However, Roscommon immediately cancelled out the lead thanks to a Diarmuid Murtagh goal in the eighth minute.
The hosts followed that up with a Ben O’Carroll goal eight minutes later. Indeed, Meath kept the scoreboard ticking over, thanks to a lovely pair of scores from James Conlon.
This kicked off a spell of dominance in the game for Meath, as they kicked over a pair of two-pointers via Conlon and Conor Duke.
Daire Cregg’s score was responded to by Jordan Morris, meaning that Roscommon trailed by five points at the half-time interval.

Enda Smith grabbed the headlines in the second-half, converting a pair of two-pointers to get Roscommon back into the game.
Smith missed the chance to put them within touching distance as he missed a penalty following a foul on Diarmuid Murtagh in the Meath penalty area.
Murtagh had a busy second-half himself, as his 52nd minute two-pointer got the Rossies back within three points.
Murtagh got another two-pointer with 10 minutes remaining; Giving Roscommon the smallest of leads before Ruairi Kinsella got the decisive equaliser two minutes later.
21 points apiece was how it finished, Roscommon now look forward to that crucial clash with Cork in two-week’s time.
