Mayo sailed into the FBD league final after a convincing 13-point win over Roscommon.
Mayo scoring a 22 points to 1-6 win to setup a FBD league final meeting with Galway. Whereas, Roscommon will face Sligo in the shield final.
Roscommon started well before trailing by three points at half-time. Daire Cregg found the Mayo net after 13 minutes. Points from Cregg and Darragh Heneghan accounted for Roscommon’s 1-2 with Mayo landing eight first-half points.
However Mayo led by Tom Lydon’s two-pointers had too much for the Rossies scoring a 22-points to 1-6 win.
Indeed, a concern for new Roscommon boss Dowd will be the lack or Roscommon scores. Dylan Ruane, Cian McKeon and two points from Daire Cregg accounting for Roscommon’s total.
Mayo advance to the FBD league final with Galway on Sunday January 18 at 1pm. Whereas, Roscommon will face Sligo in the plate final on Friday 16th at 7:30pm. The sheild final will see Leitrim face London at 6.30pm on Saturday January 17th.
