Longford have been dealt a serious blow as Iarla O’Sullivan is set for a spell on the side-lines.
Shannonside Sport understands, O’Sullivan broke a bone in his leg in the Allianz league opener to Laois A game Longford lost by two points.
O’Sullivan is expected to miss the rest of the Allianz League; and may yet have a longer spell on the side-line.

The injury is a big hit to Paddy Christie’s side as O’Sullivan stared in Longford’s O’Byrne cup victory last month.
Longford’s Allianz League campaign continues this Sunday when they host Tipperary in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park at 2pm.
