An 88th minute Emmanuel James goal saw Longford Town take all three points in the midlands derby.
Longford scored a 3-2 win over Athlone Town in a hum dinger of a game in Bishopsgate.
The hosts took the lead through Aaron Doran on 25 minutes. However Dean Williams struck back two minutes later. It was Athlone who led at half-time thanks to a 33rd minute strike from Billy Gilmore.
The hosts equalised 17 minutes from time through a Doran penalty. James grabbing the winner with two minutes remaining to make it back-to-back wins for Longford.
The win moves Longford to 21 points in the League of Ireland first division, level on points with Kerry, but Kerry have a stronger goal difference.
Athlone remain bottom of the first division, some four points adrift of Finn Harps. Dundalk remain top of the table with 43 points just one clear of Cobh Ramblers.
