Longford GAA looking to the future

Co Chairperson Derek Fahy has highlighted details of a strategic plan for the development of the game

The final round of group games in the Tailteann cup throw in this weekend with both Longford and Leitrim in action but already looking like they will miss out on reaching the knock out stages as they await their first wins. Leitrim will face Tipperary where a win for either side should secure a knockout place while Longford round out their campaign when they take on Carlow in Tullamore. It has been a tough year for the county as they failed to gain promotion from Divsion 4, however in a wide ranging conversation with our reporter John Duffy a the club championship draw, chairperson Derek Fahy outlined how a renewed strategic plan would look at development within the county
