Longford will face Clare in round 2B of the Tailteann Cup.
Longford lost out to Fermanagh by one point on Sunday, 1-24 to 2-17 in Brewster Park. Mike Solan’s side entering round 2b, as one of the losers of round one.
The draw has pitted Longford away to Clare on May 23rd or 24th. If Longford overcome Clare they will face a loser of round 2A in round three. Defeat to Clare will end Longford’s year.
If Leitrim over come Down this Saturday evening, they will travel to Offaly in round 2A. If Down beat Leitrim, Leitrim will host Carlow in Carrick-on-Shannon. Those games will be played May 23th or 24th.
Elsewhere, the round 2A draw saw Antrim face Tipperary, Fermanagh will host Wexford and London will meet Laois.
Three of the four winners in round 2A will advance to the quarter-finals. While, one team will meet New York in a preliminary quarter-final.
The round 2B draw pitted Longford away to Clare, Wicklow host Limerick and Waterford host Sligo. The losers in this round will exit the championship.
The winners of round 2B, progress to round three, where meet a loser in round 2A. The winners in round three advance to the quarter-finals.
