The ladies all-Ireland football championship gets underway this weekend with Leitirm, Longford and Roscommon all in action
All-Ireland intermediate championship; Leitrim v Wicklow
Champions two years ago, Leitrim will be aiming to land the Mary Quinn Memorial Cup once again.
The Connacht champions find themselves back in the Intermediate ranks after suffering relegation last year.
They begin their campaign against Wicklow, who lost out in the preliminary round of the Leinster championship.
Wicklow survived in the Intermediate grade last year after winning the relegation final and they’ll hope to avoid having to go down that road again.

All-Ireland intermediate championship; Cavan v Roscommon
Cavan will start as one of the leading contenders for All-Ireland glory.
The Breffni ladies will be playing top flight Lidl NFL football next year and they recently captured Ulster Intermediate silverware.
They pit their wits against Roscommon, who were well beaten by Leitrim in the Connacht final.

Group A contains five teams, including Longford and Kilkenny.
Offaly, Antrim and Derry are also in the mix, with the top two progressing to the semi-finals.
Longford will hope to bounce back quickly after losing out in the TG4 Leinster final against Carlow. The Midlanders were semi-finalists last year, losing out to Louth.
