Killoe setup a Longford quarter-final with Mullinalaghta after scoring a four-point win the final group game.
Two goals were the difference as Killoe run out four-point winners. Whereas, Paddy Moran scored 1-4 to help his side to victory.
A strong breeze played its part in this Championship meeting. The first score was just over six minutes in the making before Eamon Keogh and Paddy Moran registered with two quick-fire Killoe points.
A minute later, Paddy Moran was again causing the Colmcille defence issues when he buried the ball to the roof of the net. Killoe led by five after seven minutes.
Paddy Moran, Eamon Keogh and Cian Farrelly added further Killoe points as they moved into an eight-point 16th minute lead. Colmcille were still awaiting their opening score.
Sluggish opening in delayed group game
That opening score came after 22 minutes, Jack Macken firing over a free. Killoe were quick to respond with two points from the boots of both Mark Hughes and Eamon Keogh.
Colmcille hit form in the final five minutes of the first-half. Three points in a row through Jack Macken, Cathal McCabe and Barry McKeon. At half-time Killoe led by six points, 1-7 to 0-4.
Colmcille started the second-half in a similar fashion to how they ended the first. Barry McKeon firing over a two-point free inside the opening minute.
Following this score there was a 12-minute period where neither team registered a score of any sorts.
Paddy Moran ended that drought with two points for Killoe, before half back Niall Farrelly was on the end of a well worked move to find the back of the Colmcille net.
The Killoe lead was extended to nine points after 47 minutes.
Paul McKeon hit a pair of two-pointers, as the Killoe lead was reduced to five with 57 minutes played. Killoe got a much-needed point through Danny Mimnagh to help settle any nerves with under a minute left.
Young Emmets defender Liam Hughes, was shown a red card in the dying minutes, with Barry McKeon getting his sides final two pointer of the contest from a free which came as little more than consolation.
Killoe running out four-point winners 2-10 to 0-12. The win means Killoe will face Mullinalaghta in the Longford quarter-final with Colmcille up against Dromard.
