Six Nations to begin on a Thursday

Ireland will open the 2026 six nations away to France on Thursday February fifth.

The defending champions will kick-off on the campaign with the first ever Thursday fixture. France are yet to confirm their home venue.

Ireland will welcome Italy to the Aviva stadium for their round two game on Saturday February 14th. Whereas, Ireland will travel to Twickenham to face England seven days later.

Wales will visit the Aviva Stadium for a Friday night fixture on March sixth; while Ireland round out their championship on March 14th at home to Scotland.

France will have three home fixtures in 2026, hosting Italy in Round Three and England in Round Five. Whereas, the ‘Le Crunch’ serving as the final fixture of Super Saturday, on March 14th.

England, travel to Edinburgh in Round Two to face a Scotland side who will be adamant that the Calcutta Cup returns north of the border, after losing their grip on the Cup in 2025.

‘Super Saturday’ on March 14th is a defining moment in the sporting calendar each year, with millions of fans all over the world tuning in to savour three back-to-back fixtures that never fail to deliver pure sporting drama.

Proceedings get underway in Dublin, with Scotland travelling to face Ireland. Italy will take on Wales in Cardiff; the scene of some momentous victories for the Azzuri, and France host England in ‘Le Crunch’: a fixture packed with history and intense rivalry.
