Newly appointed Roscommon Senior Footballer manager Mark Dowd has spoken of his delight having been recently ratified.
The Strokestown native spoke to Willie Hegarty feels that his experience in management simplified his decision in taking the role.
"It’s not every day you get the call and you have to take these opportunities as they might not come again” said Dowd.
With Ian Daly having already confirmed his role to Shannonside Sport as part of Dowds backroom team. The newly appointed manager has hinted at having a blend of members from both inside and outside the county in forming his management ticket.
“People coming from inside with prior knowledge of the current county players and knowledge also coming from outside” explained Dowd. Dowd explained, that the outside noise and pressure will not impact him when his new role commences.
Dowd's Roscommon Gaels side sealed their passage to the quarter-finals of the Roscommon Senior Football Championship having topped their group.
