Boyle Celtic have announced the commencement of its “Celtic Community Hub”.
A multi-purpose facility designed to meet the growing needs of both the club and the wider Boyle community.
The project was launched in King House Boyle on Sunday July 13th with a large crowd in attendance.
Treasurer Leanne Jenkins explained that funding had been successfully achieved through the Roscommon Leader and the Community Sports Facilities Fund.
The new Celtic Community Hub will include four modern male and female dressing rooms, a referees' room, a fully equipped first aid room; a storage facility, a spectator room, and a versatile community function room capable of seating up to 100 people.
Indeed, the development is the next phase of a transformative four-year period for Celtic Park. Recent investments have seen the installation of a full-size floodlit 4G Astro pitch, an 8-a-side all-weather pitch; a new 170-seat spectator stand, and expanded car parking with dedicated disabled spaces.
These improvements have positioned Boyle Celtic as one of the leading grassroots football clubs in the region.
Club committee member Aaron O’Connor commented: “This is a proud day for everyone associated with Boyle Celtic”.
“The Celtic Community Hub not only meets the needs of our 800+ playing members, coaches, and officials. It also provides a high-quality space for community use – from meetings and workshops to social events, parties and external club events.
The Celtic Community Hub aims to be more than just a sports facility. With its flexible function room, the hub is set to become a focal point for local gatherings, promoting greater engagement between the club and the wider community it serves”.
