Bad first half proves costly as Ballymore suffer heavy defeat to Kilbeggan

The Longford champions trailed 3-2 to no score at half-time.

Ballymore were knocked out of the Leinster JFC by Kilbeggan Shamrocks after the Westmeath side won 4-6 to 2-2 at The Down GAA Grounds.

Ballymore trailed 3-2 to no score at half-time. Nigel Scally with two goals for Kilbeggan while Paul Fennell also found the net.

Kilbeggan kept the scoreboard ticking over. Danny Scully added their fourth goal nine minutes into the second half.

Ballymore’s Gavin O’Hara pulled a goal pack three minutes later. Glen Kelly added another on the hour mark but it was too little too late.
