Aoife O'Rourke has secured at least a bronze medal at the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool. The Roscommon fighter has beaten Sunniva Hofstad in their 75kg quarter-final on a split decision. It was a controlled performance from the Irish boxer who dominated from the early exchanges and won the first round on four judges scorecards and continued that trend over the reamining rounds to set up an opportunity to upgrade to Silver when she faces China's Lina Wang in the semi finals on Saturday.
