In June of last year the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment announced as part of its new waste collection charging arrangements an annual support payment of €75 for persons with lifelong or long-term medical incontinence. Monica Leydon is a full time carer to her son Callum and a single parent. She is still waiting for this payment to come through and says the cost is really starting to hit hard.
