30-year-old Jordan Adams, who has family roots in the Shannonside region, was 15 when his mother Geraldine was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, aged 47. She died aged 53 and Jordan and his brother Cian are at risk of developing dementia in their 40s.
Both have a gene that can lead to FTD. In a fight against dementia and to raise funds for two charities, they are planning to do 33 marathons in 33 days, including one in every county in Ireland.
Jordan spoke to Eoghan Murphy on the JF Show.
