| April is Parkinson’s awareness month.
On Friday's show, Anne Norris spoke to Longford based Adell Dunleavy who was diagnosed with ‘early young onset parkinsons’ at the age of 45. There were symptoms she simply brushed off - Adell told us that she had been ''brushing my teeth with two hands and didn't think anything of it'' while she had also had to ''the hairdryer down'' when drying her hair. She was later diagnosed after a GP noticed a shake in her hand and sent her for tests. Take a listen as Adell describes living with the disorder as a young mother and the impact it is having on her life |
