On this weeks My Journey Home on Shannonside Northern Sound we listen to three dedicated volunteers in Cavan:
Zaneta Michalska – A Polish heritage enthusiast who found her calling at the Belturbet Railway Station Museum, preserving and promoting local history.
Nataliia Verbova – A journalist-turned-photographer capturing the spirit of the Ukrainian community in County Cavan.
Liliia Nebuvailo – A communications expert now working with the Department of Justice, committed to supporting the Ukrainian community in Ireland.
All three share a deep belief in the power of volunteering, the importance of learning the language, and giving back by using their skills. They speak warmly of Ireland’s beauty and the kindness they’ve experienced from the Irish people.
