Parents in Leitrim have welcomed a major step forward in the provision of much-needed residential care home for people with disabilities.
The news was confirmed this week that the property has been fully acquired for use following a long battle for the service.
Fianna Fáil councillor Gary Prior says the property in Fenagh has been badly needed for the last number of years.
Leitrim and Monaghan are the only counties in the country not served by a care home for those with disabilities
