PODCAST: Strokestown students are All Ireland Aberdeen Angus finalists

Run by the Irish Angus Producer Group, along with its processor partners, ABP Ireland and Kepak Group, the Certified Irish Angus Beef schools competition, encourages second level students to gain an understanding about the care and attention is required to produce and market the highest quality beef.

Each year, five school groups are chosen to receive five Irish Angus cross calves, which they will raise for two years through to slaughter.

Students from Scoil Mhuire Strokestown, Dylan Cronin, Ciaran Mc Manus and Conor Murphy together with Modwena Geoghan, Agricultural Science Teacher joined MaryClaire on Let's Talk to tell listeners about the experience.
