Over 1,500 people in Roscommon and east Galway sought help from a mental health organisation in the space of a year.
They attended 29 modules given by the Regari Recovery College in Roscommon town, Ballinasloe, Castlerea and Athlone.
A recent meeting of HSE management noted the amount of students seeking help from the service - saying this 'highlighted the struggles that are out there'.
