Athlone Institute of Technology is rolling out the first of its 'Athlone IT Learning Gate' locations in Mullingar later this week.
There are over 1,000 students accessing courses remotely, and the Institute is sourcing locations and spaces in the 24 e working centres in the Midlands for students and academic staff to meet and learn together.
MaryClaire Grealy asked the Dean of Faculty of Continuing, Professional, Online and Distance Learning Michael Tobin to explain more about the centre and this new initiative.
