A Leitrim climate activist is calling on Ireland to lead by example when it comes to efforts to tackle climate change. Leslie O'Hora, who's a Green Party representative based in Carrick-on-Shannon, says our weather is becoming even more unpredictable. He says this is a direct result of climate change and urgent action is now needed. It follows major flooding in the east and southeast this week following Storm Chandra. Leslie says Ireland has led the way in other climate and health initiatives and can do so again:
