LISTEN: Efforts to identify over 1,300 graves at former psychiatric hospital

A small group of people are trying to preserve the memory of those patients buried at St Loman's Psychiatric Hospital in Mullingar. The facility, which closed in 2013, currently has 1,304 unidentified graves. The group, made up mostly of descendants of past patients, is appealing to people to come forward if they think they may have a loved one buried there. It's believed burials took place there from 1906 to 1970 with each grave marked with a number. The group 'friends of Julia' is headed up by Julianne Clarke, whose great-grandmother Julia died in St Loman's in 1919. Another member of the group, Karen Ryan, explained why Julianne Clarke started this campaign:
